Angelo Mazzei
Chairman/CEO


In 1978, Angelo L. Mazzei founded Mazzei Injector Company, where he currently serves as Chairman/CEO. Angelo remains at the helm, guiding the company’s strategic direction and safeguarding its overarching vision. His commitment lies in producing and delivering solution-driven systems and products to meet the evolving needs of our customers across the various industries we serve.

Angelo holds numerous patents in fluid processing and related equipment—with a focus on gas and liquid injection into water streams, gas removal from water, and the injection of air or gas into subsurface irrigation water to significantly improve crop yields. A committed member of the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) since 1975, Angelo was honored with the prestigious AE50 award in 2002 for his AirJection® Irrigation system. Recently, he has garnered recognition for his impactful contributions to multiple industries, notably receiving the 2021 Industry Achievement Award from the Irrigation Association, and the 2023 Honorary Membership Award from the International Ozone Association.

Angelo earned his Bachelor of Science degree from California State University, Fresno (Fresno State). Actively engaged in both community and professional organizations throughout his career, he was a founding member of the Kern Agricultural Foundation, and of the International Center for Water Technology (ICWT)—a collaboration of water technology professionals and Fresno State. Additionally, Angelo serves on the California State University, Bakersfield (CSUB) Foundation, the International Ozone Association, and played a pivotal role as a founder and board member of Valley Republic Bank in Bakersfield.


Geoffrey Whynot
President


Geoffrey Whynot joined Mazzei in April 2010 as Chief Financial Officer. In January 2012 his title and duties expanded to included that of Chief Operating Officer, and in July 2014, Geoff was named President. Geoff oversees the day-to-day operations and bottom-line performance of the company, sets the managerial and operational goals for the company and assures that these goals are met.

Geoff has an extensive finance and accounting background as CFO in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, technology, construction and communication. His experience includes completion of a number of acquisitions and corporate consolidations, negotiation of numerous financings, creation of a joint venture to develop and market imaging software and the successful implementation of financial restructurings. In addition, Geoff managed the audits of several Fortune 500 companies.

Geoff received his Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Babson College in Massachusetts, and he is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.


Jim Lauria
VP, Sales & Marketing


Jim Lauria was named Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Mazzei Injector Company in April 2015. Jim is responsible for the strategic and operational direction of the company’s sales and marketing efforts. Jim works with engineering and his sales staff to identify and successfully develop solutions to customers’ water and wastewater needs.

Jim has extensive experience in business development and sales in the water and wastewater industry for over 15 years and has held senior positions at a number of companies including Johnson Screens and Amiad Water Systems. In addition to this experience, Jim has written features and cover articles for most of the leading water industry publications in the U.S. and many top international magazines.

Jim holds a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering degree from Manhattan College.


Celia (Mazzei) Cobar
Vice Chairman of the Board


Celia Cobar is dedicated to the continual growth of the company and leads activities that continually evaluate and implement expanded applications of Mazzei’s products as well as improvements in performance of existing product uses.

Cece directs the company’s Computational Fluid Dynamics projects, which facilitate new product development and validate existing Mazzei products and systems. Publication and presentation of her research continues to educate audiences of international organizations such as the International Ozone Association, International Center for Water Technology and various regional associations.

Cece received her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California.
