Ozone has the highest oxidation potential of all commercially available oxidants. Washing surfaces with water containing dissolved ozone has been shown to effectively inactivate microorganisms such as E. coli, Salmonella, Listeria and Giaridia. Ozone is more effective than chlorine in destroying viruses and bacteria. Injecting ozone into cold water is not only highly effective for winery sanitation and clean-in-place (CIP) disinfection, it’s energy efficient, residue-free and organic. And winery staffs appreciate not having to handle harsh chemicals or work in clouds of steam.
