Ozone has the highest oxidation potential of all commercially available oxidants. Washing surfaces with water containing dissolved ozone has been shown to effectively inactivate microorganisms such as E. coli, Salmonella, Listeria and Giaridia.  Ozone is more effective than chlorine in destroying viruses and bacteria. Injecting ozone into cold water is not only highly effective for winery sanitation and clean-in-place (CIP) disinfection, it’s energy efficient, residue-free and organic. And winery staffs appreciate not having to handle harsh chemicals or work in clouds of steam.

Mazzei venturi injectors and degas systems can be used in either stationary or mobile CIP units. High-efficiency injection and mixing ensures cost-effective utilization of ozone and outstanding efficacy in killing pathogens and neutralizing contaminants.
