ULTRAPURE WATER TREATMENT (PW, WFI, & CIP SYSTEMS)
Mazzei electropolished stainless steel injectors have been successfully used for ozone injection into treated water for PW, WFI, and CIP applications. The injectors are designed for easy removal, cleaning, and inspection with no moving parts. This allows reliable ozone dissolution for microbial control while maintaining compliance with stringent pharmaceutical hygiene and inspection requirements.
FERMENTATION AERATION & OXYGENATION
Mazzei systems have improved oxygen transfer efficiency in fermentation processes by delivering fine, consistent gas dispersion without reliance on conventional spargers. This has enabled reduced oxygen consumption, elimination of compressed air (and associated oil contamination risks), healthier cell propagation, and lower maintenance demands particularly in systems where sparger fouling, foaming, or uneven gas distribution has been a persistent issue.
WASTEWATER TREATMENT & HIGH-STRENGTH EFFLUENT
In pharmaceutical wastewater treatment, Mazzei injectors and nozzles have been applied for EQ tank “freshening”, for efficient dissolution of pure oxygen in high-strength wastewater, and ozone for the treatment of API (active pharmaceutical ingredient) residues in effluent streams that may require enhanced oxidation. These applications have improved biological treatment performance, prevented odor and septic conditions, and maximized oxygen utilization often allowing smaller basins or reduced energy consumption compared to traditional aeration/oxidation methods.
